Vitamin A:

Carrots, Broccoli, Cheddar Cheese & Green Vegetables.

Milk, Boiled Eggs, Yeast Extracts & Meats

Prepare all meats:

Before cooking to avoid viruses…

  1. Trim meat if necessary: Place the meat or fish in a large bowl, squeeze ½ lemon or lime and sprinkle a little salt over it and leave to marinate for about 10 minutes.
  2. Rinse and pat dry the meat or fish with kitchen towel roll.
  3. All meats or fish are now ready to seasoned and cook.

Mummy’s tip –

By cleaning meats: Poultry and Fish before cooking it, helps to prevent viruses in meats affecting the human body.

Preparing meat tips

Bread Crumb Chicken

Bread Crumb Chicken

Ingredients –

4 Skinned Chicken Breast  /  Medium Onion (finely chopped  /  ¼ Red Pepper (finely chopped)
1 Clove of Garlic (finely chopped)  /  Fresh Herbs (finely chopped )  /  Sprinkle of Salt and Pepper
Fresh Bread crumb mixed with a 2 tablespoons of self rising flour  /  1 large Egg  /  Olive Oil or corned Oil
  1. Put Chicken in a large bowl and cover with onions, peppers, garlic, Fresh herbs, salt and black pepper.
  2. Rub the mixture gently into the chicken. Beat the egg and pour over and leave to marinate for about 15 mins.
  3. Cover the bottom of a large frying pan with the olive or corned oil, allowing the oil to get slightly hot reduce the heat.
  4. Dip the portions of chicken into the breadcrumb mix and fry gently until golden brown.
  5. Remove each piece of chicken and place them on paper towel to drain away the excess oil.
  6. Place on a rack in a baking tray cover with foil and place in the middle of the oven gas mark 4 for about thirty minutes remove The foil and leave for a further 5 minutes.

Mummy’s tip –

Serve with chips, salad, baked potatoes and vegetables or whatever takes your fancy.

Minced Turkey Pie

Mummys recipies - Minced Turkey Pie

Ingredients –

1lb Mince Turkey  /  2 Carrots (diced)  /  1 Courgettes (diced) 1 Medium Onion (diced)
1 Clove of Garlic (chopped)  /  Fresh herbs (finely chopped)  /  1 Slice of red pepper (chopped) Pinch of salt and Black pepper  /   ½ pint of stock or 1 stock cube  /  1½lb potatoes
1 tablespoon flora margarine


  1. Fry mince, onion, garlic and red pepper in a little oil until slightly brown
  2. Add remaining ingredients stir and simmer in the juices for five minutes
  3. Add the stock in a medium saucepan and add the mince and additives and cook slowly until carrots are tender
  4. Cook the potatoes and mashed with a little milk and margarine until fluffy
  5. Empty the mince mixture into a casserole dish and cover with the mashed potatoes and cook in the oven mark 4 until slightly brown.

Mummy’s tip –

Serve with green vegetables.

Pickle Meats

Mummys recipies - Pickle Meats

Ingredients –

1lb cooked Meat (Pork, Chicken or Turkey wings)  /  ½ Diced Cucumber
1 Medium Onion (finely chopped)  /  Sprigged of Parsley (finely chopped)
1 Chilli (finely chopped) or a pinch black pepper  /  ½ Lemon juice  /  Salt to flavour (a pinch)


  1. Cook chosen meat until tender
  2. Cool and cut into serving potions, and place into a serving bowl
  3. Put cucumber, onion, chilli, lemon juice, parsley in a bowl, add a pinch of salt and stir together then pour the pickle mixture over the meat
  4. Cover and let stand for 15 minutes.

Mummy’s tip –

Serve with boiled potatoes, carrots and crusty bread.

Light Fruit Cake

Mummys recipies - Fruit cake

Ingredients –

10ozs Flour  /  250g Flora Margarine  /  5ozs Sugar  /  5 medium eggs
½ teaspoon Vanilla Essence  /  ¼ Cinnamon4ozs Raisins  / 1 teaspoon Rum or Brandy or Sherry


  1. Cream the margarine and sugar together in a mixing bowl until fluffy
  2. Add the eggs and stir until well blended in
  3. Add the essence, spice, brandy and stir
  4. Now add the flour slowly and sprinkle in the raisins and stir until all the flour is added.
  5. Grease 1 medium size baking pan and pour the mixture in and place In the middle of the oven and bake at gas mark 3 for one and a half Hour
  6. Removed from the oven take a clean dry knife and put into the middle of the cake if its clean when remove the cake is fully cook

Mummy’s tip –

Just leave on the side to cool before removing from the baking pan.

Macaroni Cheese

Mummys recipies - Macaroni Cheese

Ingredients – 

80zs Macaroni  /  4ozs Cheddar Cheese (grated)  /  1 Cup Soya Milk  /  1 Egg   /  ½ Onion (grated)  1 level tablespoon Flora Margarine  /  A pinch Black Pepper  /  Soya Sauce (light)  /  Bread Crumb


  1. Cook macaroni in salted water until tender.
  2. Drain off water add margarine follow by grated cheese and pepper, stir and put into a baking dish. Add a splash of soy sauce.
  3. Beat the egg and milk and pour over the Macaroni sprinkle the top with a little grated Cheese then sprinkle with a little bread crumb.
  4. Baked at oven Gas mark 5 until slightly brown on top.

Mummy’s tip –

Remove and serve with vegetables.
